Our commitment
BrightSteps International School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child in our care. The safety and wellbeing of students comes first in every decision we make.
Designated Safeguarding Lead
[CONFIRM: name and role of the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead], supported by [CONFIRM: name and role of the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead], are responsible for safeguarding matters at BrightSteps. They can be contacted at [CONFIRM: safeguarding contact email or phone number].
Reporting a concern
If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child, please contact [CONFIRM: safeguarding contact details] directly, or speak to any member of staff, who will pass your concern on appropriately. In an emergency, please contact local emergency services.
Staff recruitment and background checks
[CONFIRM: a short, accurate description of the school's staff vetting process — for example, reference checks, police/background clearance requirements, and any relevant certification — should go here once confirmed by the school.]
Use of children's images
From time to time, we may photograph or film students for use on this website, our social media pages, and in printed school materials, to celebrate school life and share it with our community.
- We only use images of a child publicly with the consent of a parent or guardian, collected through the school's enrollment paperwork or a specific consent request.
- Parents or guardians may withdraw consent for their child's image to be used at any time by contacting info@bischoolci.org.
- We do not publish a child's full name alongside their photo on public-facing pages without separate parental consent.
Online safety
[CONFIRM: any specific online-safety or acceptable-use commitments the school wants stated here, such as how the Hub platform is used safely by students.]
