School Transportation

BrightSteps partners with SHIPP, a dedicated school transportation company, to provide safe, reliable transport between home and school.

How It Operates

SHIPP plans and optimizes every route for safety and efficiency. Pickup and drop off points are arranged with each family at registration, and vehicles wait up to five minutes at each stop. SHIPP targets arrival within five minutes of the scheduled time, and communicates route changes in advance whenever possible.

Safety

Every vehicle is equipped with GPS tracking, a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, and functional seatbelts, and is kept in good working condition. Drivers are licensed, vetted, and trained. SHIPP maintains a zero tolerance policy for any unsafe or inappropriate behavior on board, and vehicles carry comprehensive, all risk insurance.

Updates and SMS Notifications

Parents are notified when their child is picked up and dropped off. SHIPP sends real time alerts for delays, route changes, or incidents through its app, SMS, email, or a direct phone call when needed.

What Parents Need to Know

Have your child ready and waiting at the agreed pickup point and time
Report an absence before the vehicle's scheduled passage whenever possible
If your child is missed, notify SHIPP within 20 minutes of the vehicle's scheduled passage
Keep contact and medical information up to date with the school
Transport fees are paid in advance, due by the 24th of each month
